best carb to use

hey olds nation!

i have a 455 bored .030 with a cam and it now has a 750 holley double pumper. is there a better carb to fit this combo. i have heard that holley's dont hold there settings well. i would prefer something i can bolt on and drive with few adjustments to be made. prefer something thats great on gas. i am a crusers. no racing etc.

Do a search of carburetors. this has been discussed to death from every corner and you'll find lots of detailed opinions.

Well said.

The 750 double pumper has more of an issue of keeping fuel in it. It's fun while you can afford it.

I personally, like the quadrajet for mileage, and power.

Citcapp is right and Warhead quoted him to second the motion. Lots of opinions on this topic. I switched from the Quadrajet to an Edelbrock and feel I have more power. Others will tout the Holley, and other carbs. Up to your preference and bank account ultimately.
