Convertible header bow

Convertible header bow

Is the 72 cutlass header bow the same as a 72 chevelle header bow?

(mine showers me with rust every time the top goes up or down

Yes. 68-72 A body is same (Cutlass, Chevelle, GTO, etc.). Repros are $400 but you might be able to find a decent one used - alot of them are rusted - I guess moisture gets trapped there. Paul Toller sells a lot of used parts - ROS6872Parts.com. I was looking for something cheap needing a little work and he had a decent one requiring two small patches (and I have a welder, so it was easy). He probably also has nicer ones for more money - nice guy to deal with.

When I did mine, I ground down the small rust holes and fiberglassed it, then POR'd the whole thing.
Worked great.

As long as the structure isn't compromised and your repair is smooth (can't be seen through the top material), you're good to go.
