Start at the top to hang them, just start bolts, leave loose. Get some nice long center punches. and start prying and pulling to get as close as possible, put in one bolt at a time. You may have to redrill a couple. I never had to use a jack on the plastic ones, but I did have to use floor jack and wood on the metal one on my Elco years ago. They were so far off, because my can had been hit, and I think the alinement was not good. I was surprised how much I could tweak the metal to make it fit, but did get it done.

Good luck, I tried the repro’s from OPGI, and returned them.

They suck and are a pain. Left a couple bolts out. You may want to try a heat gun to soften the plastic to help get into place.

Thank you!
Solid tip, I am finding the lower hole in the bottom quarter is totally off.

I also purchased a bolt kit and it is not matching up to what I removed.

what bolts do I have mixed up?
9 of one type, two smaller ones, and then a massive 3/8” single one.
The 9 all went around the fender and two out of the four front holes before I ran out.

the smaller one fit the frame bolt hole.

means I’m missing the one that goes in the firewall quarter area, and two more for the front support.
and I’ve got the massive one and a small one leftover.

Did they send you the correct ones for a 1969? The Parts Place catalog shows BP-1090T for 1969 and BP-1091T for 1970 thru 1972. I used them on my 1972 442 and they fir perfictly, just had to redrill the rear panle to frame holes.
