1964 Olds 98 4dr sedan - rear door seal

Where can I find the correct rear door seals to a 1964 Olds 98 4dr sedan. Steele rubber, Rubber the right way, Metro moulded parts, PRP all list the wrong seals to the C-body. They claim it's the same seals to 1961-64 B and C-bodys and it's not!

Try Fusick Automotive? Maybe they've got a correct listing.

Do you have any pics of this door seal that doesn't fit properly? Surely Fusick doesn't carry the wrong part. Did you contact them?

No pics but its about 5 inches too short. Dropped them an email but the listing says 88 and 98?

How 'bout...

They have a listing for 88 Station wagon rear door. They have a square window frame like a 98 sedan does. Maybe you could make that work?

I also see they sell weather strip by the foot.

I just checked the Oldsmobile parts book. Part numbers for 2nd design '63 and all '64 98 4-door sedan rear door weatherstrips are 4897266 for the right and 4897267 for the left. These weatherstrips use a nylon fastener. 1961 to '63 1st design weatherstrips use a metal fastener. The part numbers for these weatherstrips do not interchange with anything else.

These cars are getting old & rare. Not to displace any factory parts you can find, but in case you run out of factory-correct options, you might check Trimlok for seals to fill the void(s) you’re looking to fill and restore quiet and water sealing.

Look here: https://www.trimlok.com

I’ve added a few custom “P” adhesive seals and a few “U channel” seals to my ‘66 Starfire and to my ‘66 98. For the convertible the 3 or 4” flap seals made the fabric top quieter. The “P” seals quieted the doors of my ‘66 Starfire a bit.

Long story short, if you can’t find GM or reproduction seals for your car, get a roll or 2 of their products and have some fun being creative to keep out water, wind & noise.

Cheers
Chris
