66 F85 4 speed non-console

I just picked up a 66 F85. I think it was an automatic column shift car factory, but the column is gone and no drive train. I want to have some fun with this car and I have a 68 455. I want to install a 4 speed m20. I have all the parts to convert , but I am looking at what I need to do for the floor. Since it's an F85, I don't want to run a console. It has buckets. So I can find pictures of the console floor cutout and hump, but can't seem to find a non console picture to see what hump I need. There seems to be alot of differences between the different makes when I look for a 4 speed hump. I know this is for a console. I appreciate any help.

The 4 speed plate is the same console and non console and positioned the same. The 3 speed has a slightly different positioning.

FYI, in the 1966 model year, you could not get bucket seats in an F85 or F85 Deluxe model, only a Cutlass, so if the car has buckets now it wasn't born with them. Four speed with a bench is pretty cool.

What size and position hump you need will also depend on what shifter you select, and the transmission. If you aren't trying to look "factory" with a Muncie and Hurst Comp + you have a lot of options.

I'll say. I didn't know you could get tilt steering in an F-85!

Thank you Joe. The car was a bench seat automatic on the column. The seats that came with it appear to be 66 as there is no seat back release. They also appear to be F85 pattern. Could these be early 67 seats?

Those seats are from a 1966 Cutlass Sport Coupe.

Interestingly, RPO N33 Tilt-Away Steering Column WAS an available option on the F85 model that year. Go figure.

17,455 made in the 1966 model year (vs 44,633 Holiday Coupes that year)

Joe, I really appreciate the information. You always seem to be the guy in the know. Do you jappen to have measurements on where to cut and install the 4 speed hump?

That same pattern was used in the F-85 Holiday Deluxe HDT models & only as a bench seat.

Actually on all F85 Deluxe body styles that year. Note that the optional bench seat shown for the Cutlass Sport Coupe above is the same seat shown here for the F85 Deluxe.
