4 speed console

4 speed console
Trying to install a console in s 4 speed car console was from an automatic got the top part cut out no problem but didn't they trim them out on the bottom part that sets on the floor some too?i have an old rough one that had some modification on the bottom left edge but hate to hack a good one up without advice

Yes, the lower piece was were trimmed on the drivers side bottom going back about 12"-15" to clear the 4 speed hump. They didn't take too much height off of them. I have an original '72 4 speed console in the back seat of one of my cars now so I could take a pic or measurements if you need me to.

Thanks for quick response I think I can copy the way it's done on my rough console it fits the hump nicely just wanted to make sure that was the right thing to do since console prices seem to be getting out of hand thanks again
