Can anybody tell me what is correct? Did the original L-69's come with all steel fuel lines or a combination of copper and steel? If all steel does anybody know where they can be had? Thanks for your help. Guy

 

The end carbs used copper from the fuel block. The fuel pump to filter assy. & filter assy. to fuel block were steel.Nobody makes them all steel I know of. I have and sell complete correct fuel line sets with the fuel block & fittings. Here's a picture of a 66 L69 setup I just completed.

 

I went to a restoration shop the other day and was talking to someone the about the Tri Carb set up that I have on my 65 442. He said that my copper lines should be steel, and then I started to doubt myself so I figured I'll ask people that would know for sure and that I TRUST. Pontiac tripower are all steel, as Mike said Oldsmobile are the combo..Resto guy probably never saw a tricarb olds..

 

They should have been steel,I agree but Olds saw it differently. The Pontiacs used aluminum which id just as wrong IMHO. I have factory photos that show the copper lines.

 

Are you positive about all steel. I know you know those units well but my vendor makes a lot of Pontiac lines if I understood him they used aluminum. He justy told me he bought 200" of aluminum lines and the price had doubled for the material.
