Max tire size

Hey guys I am just about complete on my 1969 cutlass build. I just picked up a set of rims. 15x10 rear 4” inside 5” outside. And 15x8 front. 4” inside 2” outside. Would like to run 295 50 rear and I believe 235 60 front would level the stance out. Will the tires fit ??

I ran 325/50R15 drag radials on my 69 with minor quarter panel trimming. I also ran 28x13.5 Hoosier Quick Times for the track, both pair fit with 15x10 rims with no issues. I got tired of the lousy tread wear of the drag radial tires, and nobody makes a 325 tire in regular tread compound, so I dropped down to 275/60R15. So, assuming the wheel offset is correct, a 295/50 should fit with plenty of room to spare. I can get the part number from the rims I’m using if needed.

As for the front, I have never run anything bigger than the factory 15x7 Olds rally wheel. I have 15x5 rims on the front, im old school, I like the classic big n little look. I would think a 235 would fit, I had that size on the front of my 87 442 years ago. I’m pretty sure the wheelhouse of the 69 is bigger than the g body.
