654 657 and 658 engine codes????

654 657 and 658 engine codes????
Can someone please explain to me what the different engine codes stand for? I am looking in a 1968 assembly manual and the are just referring to these codes and I am not my what they mean. Thanks!

;From what I was able to determine, 654 = 350ci block, 657 & 664 = 455ci block, & 658 = 400ci block. Depending upon valve timing and the camshaft for each application, those items will determine the horsepower output of that particular block. I take it you are referring to manual section 6-0, page 100, of the assembly manual, as well as possibly manual section 6-1, pages 103 & 104.
Applications, I figured out, are as follows.
654: F85, Cutlass, Cutlass Supreme, Vista Cruiser, Delmont 88
657: Delmont 88, Delta 88, Delta 88 Custom
658: 4-4-2, Vista Cruiser
664: Delmont 88, Delta 88, Delta 88 Custom, 98, Toronado
