1982 Cutlass Supreme Brougham battery mounting

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum here, so I'm sorry if I post anything in the wrong place. My dad recently passed away at the end of January, after just shy of 33 years of marriage to my mom and 30+ years of being my dad. He has always had the Cutlass, and maintained it to over 250k miles. While it's not in pristine shape, it has always been kept running due to the sentimental value it had for him and my family. He proposed to my mom in that car, and it was the car I drove throughout high school most of the time. Long story short, I'm trying to figure out how to keep it running myself now, and would love to gut the interior and hot rod it with a 350 eventually. It needs paint the most at this time.

First things first though, I need a picture of an engine bay that has a 4.3L 260 V8 so I can see how the battery is supposed to be mounted. He had the battery removed to power a new tool he had in the garage. I reinstalled it, and it's charged, but I can't find whatever the parts are that hold the battery down. Can someone help me? If we get to keep this car running, I'll probably become a regular here, as we go through the process of making his old car into a bad mf.

Thank you all for your help!

You guys are the best! Gonna pick it up. Next project: the fuel guage seems to not work right. Any idea what exact part could be causing this? Is this common?

Before buying any parts, check all the ground points and sending unit connections...
