working on my 1970 cutlass . Put my a/c brace on, don't know how it goes on! here is how it lines up, brace will not go over factory water pump bolt! Is it on wrong ? or is it supposed to be bent to slid over bolt, so I can get nut on? It is the right bolt, and the right brackets for a/c, and the right water pump for my car. Thanks

There should be a bend just to the left of the fuel pump, right at the fuel hose, just enough to rest against WP.

Thanks, I will put a little bend in it , so it fits. the person I bought it from , had painted it black, maybe he straighten it out, thanking it was bent! I was going to do that, but I didn't know for sure. I bought the car from a man, who didn't bag or tag anything, just put all the bolts in coffee cans, and parts in boxes. no rhyme or reason, into why a motor mount would be in the same box with a 8 track player!
