You can mostly disassemble, clean and lube the parts. Some of the joints can't be disassembled, but you can inject lube. If a part is completely worn out then you may be best off buying a better original unit.

Bruce , I can only assume that we are talking about a '68 Cutlass or 442 ?
This wiper linkage was crimped together at the joints , and was serviced only as a complete assembly . There was a left and right side . Some models had recessed park {disappearing} wipers. The left side had a different assembly.
Everything from the round part that the wiper arm attaches to , down to the wiper motor .

I found the following;

I found the part numbers here;
http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/membe...sher_Parts.pdf

4918758 for RH side
4918620 for LH side (without recessed park)

Then I took those numbers to GM partswiki ;
http://www.gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=50762
and found out that that those same parts also fit '68 thru 72 Chevelle .

I googled '68 Chevelle wiper linkage and found this ;
