Window rubber

The original window/hardtop rubber on my 77 Toro was dry rotted. I sourced two companies which claimed to sell accurate reproductions. Both were too narrow and left significant gaps. The shop realigned the windows as much as possible but wasn't able to close the gaps. I have had to apply auto weather stripping which works badly and looks worse.

Any help would be appreciated.

Were the companies you shopped with Steele Rubber and Soff Seal?

I think the first was Soft Steele, the second was Metro. Both had the same part number, so I think both companies order from the same supplier.

See if Soff Seal has weather stripping for your car.

So was it Soff Seal or was it Steele Rubber? Those are two totally different companies.

And there is still no company by that name...

Are you talking about Soff Seal, or Steele Rubber?

Steele Rubber claims to have the parts in stock.
