hi, i just got a OAI with the most paint build up ive ever seen and im a painter, im sosposed 2 drop it off 2marrow 2 get it blasted but the guy wants 2 use recyled glass or fine walnut shells, i read here that soda was the best i told the guy that and he said recyled glass/walnutshells are better, im a little worried because i dont want the gel coat messed up, ive chiped away alot of the paint and the gelcoat looks great nice and smooth, thanks

 

they used soda on my hood, don't know if that was the right thing to do, but it ended up looking great. I do know they used a special primer that was gad awful expensive used on corvettes to bring back the life of the fiberglass - supposedly a conditioning type primer.
