So yesterday I did my oil change and because whenever I have to get on the freeway, my car starts hesitating to pick up speed. I figured it was the fuel filter. So I changed that as well. My car no longer hesitates. But now my check engine light came on. It wasn't on before. And it only cuts on when I start driving. When I'm sitting at idle, it doesn't come on but about a minute after I start driving, it cuts on. I know this question is pretty broad but what do you guys think is the problem? 1985 Delta 88.

The problem is that we can't help you until you tell us which code is causing the CEL to come on. Read the code(s) using either a scan tool or a paper clip.

 

Also, the problem is almost definitely with whichever hose you bumped while installing the fuel filter, so once you've got the code, that will probably help you find the hose.
