weights and measures

Does anyone know the approximate weight of a 72 cutlass vert minus the engine , transmission, drive shaft, rear end suspension? Just the body, frame and convertible top. Just wondering whether a certain trailer capacity will work, and don't have the trailer yet.
Thanks Ken

Unfortunately, your question still doesn't provide sufficient information (With or without interior? With or without front suspension? etc), but here's a ballpark number. Curb weight of that car will be in the 3,700-4,000 lb range. The complete driveline and rearend with wheels and tires is about 1,000 lbs (maybe a little less), so depending on what is left on the car, I'd say you'd be in the 2,500 to 3,000 lb range.

I agree with Joes estimate. It takes 8 large guys a keg of beer and several 12' 4x4s to lift a body off a frame with the full interior and all glass (young and stupid but it got the job done). Thats gotta be in the 1500-2000 range. The frame and suspension has to easily be another 7-800.
Work the other way. Engine is 550-650 small or big block the trans is 150ish for TH350-400 the drive shaft is 25ish the rear is 100ish. Thats 875ish Subtract ishes from 3700 = ~2825...ish
