Trying to ID my childhood Olds!! Help!

Hi, everyone! First time poster, long-time reader on the forums. I'm a huge Olds enthusiast, mostly owing to the fact that when my father moved our family here from the Soviet Union in 1986, our first car was an Oldsmobile Cutlass. My father was a journalist, the bureau chief for the Soviet TV & Radio in NYC, and that was the car he "inherited" from the guy who had his position previously. I instantly fell in love with it, of course. I mean, c'mon - 8 cylinders of American power for a kid from the Soviet Union who had only previously seen Ladas, Volgas and Chaikas. I believe it was an 1980-1980 Cutlass, possibly a Brougham, but the wheels were different (rally wheels, I believe?). I have this photo of my Dad's friend in front of it, can someone correctly ID the year, trim and color code on it? I'm having a helluva time trying to find something like that on the web. Thanks!

PS I'm currently building a pro-touring 1971 442, so I still have the Olds bug all these years later.

Welcome to the group... Photos of the front and rear would also help if you have some available... That body style was available from 1978 thru 1987...

Great memories! I am pretty sure Light and Dark Rosewood were 1982 only colors.

What I like in the old photo is the gas price.

I'm waiting for more photos from my dad. I realize now it's not a Brougham, doesn't have that vertical rectangular emblem on the C-pillar. And yeah, the gas prices are ridiculous, lol. ))))))

How about a Cutlass Supreme Sedan? On the left.

Me too! What I REALLY want to know is the color codes for it, because it was the most beautiful gold flake-brown two-tone paint job ever. From the factory, of course.
