trunk release

on the 69 olds is it an electric or vacuum trunk release? if vacuum does it have a canaster or does it come straight off of the intake? does any have a diagram thanks

It's vacuum. There is a vacuum cannister mounted on the firewall that is related to the trunk opening system. The diagram can be found in manual section 1-5, page 370, of the assembly manual. You can find this manual at www.wildaboutcars.com and it is downloadable for free. You have to join and that is free as well.

In '69, the vacuum canister is metal & about 4" in diameter? 1970 was the first year for electric trunk release.
