Torque converter dust cover

Continuing the ground up restoration of my 69 442 convertible. The th400 transmission that I have needs a dust cover. Was it originally metal or were they also plastic back then. Really want the car to be as correct as possible. What say you guys!

They were metal. Contact Scott Winn for a correct piece, he is also known on the forum as oldspackrat.
