There Is A White Stripe On The Hose Going To The 70-72 OAI Motor - Correct?

Just got some stuff in from ILT, and the hose that shows the most is black with no stripe. I am almost positive I've ordered this before from them and it had it.

I believe you are correct. I've attached a picture from an original 72 W30 that I have written about this past week. You have to watch ILT, although most of their stuff is great, they do have a number of incorrect items and they don't like to address the problem. I recently ordered pillar lock seals for the quarter windows and the ones they sent were too small and the the screw holes didn't match up. After several emails, they dropped all correspondence. Thankfully, it was only an $18.00 item, but it still isn't right. I got the correct pair from Fusicks. For me it is a trade-off, as ILT generally have the cheapest shipping.

White stripe hose

This is an original 1970 air cleaner with the white stripe hose. I know the reproduction hoses had a white stripe, but I always thought it was to wide. The width on the original is about 3/32 inch. (.093) or so.

I thought so. I went to where my 72 is stored (it has a complete OE OAI adaptor on it, and it has the hose with a very narrow stripe on it. I stole it off that car to put in on the W30 I'm doing instead.

This last order from ILT has been disappointing to say the least. From this issue, to a used disc brake proportioning valve bracket I got, to the delivery time it has been inferior experience to the service level I got from (gasp) The Parts Place.

Completed unit after installing my used OE hose
