May I suggest sending your unit to D & M Restoration, 57 Creekside Park Court, Suite B, Greenville, SC 29615. Their phone number is 800-722-0854 or 864-254-9989/9990. Their work is top quality, in my opinion. They repaired a very rough tic-toc-tac in my '69 4-4-2 and they now have the one out of my '68 4-4-2. They just restored the clock - no quartz movement - and pieced together the tach which was virtually destroyed in my '69. As I understand, prices run from about $75 if just calibration is needed for both units, to about $300 at the top end. Call first - you will probably be talking with Patrick or Cameron.

Hope this helps. At least it's only one state away!

I can not recommend the shop that worked on my Tick Tock Tach last year in Michigan. They were asked to recalibrate the tach and repair/replace the clock. The tack sticks at around 4,000 rpm and the quartz clock does not keep time.

I just saw this link... http://www.hspnnews.com/index.php/ar...m_just_dashes/

I don't know if they are good or not.
