Steering shaft grease boot

Does anybody sell the grease boot for steering shaft where it connects to steering box in the engine compartment on 70 cutlass/442?

If it is the intermediate steering shaft boot you ask about I located it at OPGI.

I've struggled at times to find things on some sites that I know I've seen and this was one of them when I did mine. I now search ebay first as it has much better key word search functionality and many of the Olds parts retailers have them listed there. Good luck, your project is coming up great Paul

Cheers mate!
Ive been picking away at the car. I'm hoping to get the motor sent out this coming week to start work at some point in the meantime the bodywork continues. I haven't had a lot of extra time because its spring time here and a lot of yard work to be done but hopefully catch up soon. Im hoping to have the car painted by the end of summer which would be right about time the motor is done? we'll see. Never enough time......

X2.

Glad to help Scrappie. You've been more than gracious to me in the past.

Paul, check my thread. I did a comparison on the aftermarket boots versus an NOS rubber boot.

I am looking at doing this repair. Have the part on order. Any tips or tricks to pulling the column and removing the seal for replacement. ? Intermediate Mechanic skills.

Pretty straight forward especially if you have CSM. Gotta pound or press that pin out then back in.

I do. I found the section on the shaft once it’s out of the car. Never having taken one out is there a section on how to remove from ( I guess the rag joint and where it attaches up by top) the car ? . Looks like it might just unbolt. Did you remove MC and brake booster for access? Thanks.
