roll pin installation experts
Anyone have the secret to reinstall the roll pin that holds the dual gate assembly in the housing (70-71 version)?
I know there is a special tool to do roll pins in general. I just don't know why they are so much better than a flat punch or drift pin. I hate to buy a one time only tool for me. Thanks.

They make a roll pin punch which has a little nub to center itself to the hole on the roll pin!
If you have a short roll pin use a pair of needle nose vise grips and drive it in with a small ball peen hammer.
