I have a 68 442 and want to replace the receiver dryer for the a/c. How do you get to the dryer? I can see taking out grill to get to one fitting, but the other fitting and bracket seem to be behind the headlight assembly. What is the easiest way to replace it??

 

Please don't post multiple times. We have multiple members here that will surely find your post and answer it.

To remove the receiver driver you will probably have to take the panel off of the top of the radiator. Then you will be able to get to the AC components in front of the radiator.

I also suggest you purchase a Factory Service Manual for your car from Fusicks or E-bay. They are invaluable and have schematics and pictures that will help with multiple tasks.

 

Sorry about the multi posts, but I find some people don't go into every forum, and the more advice I could get the better. Since there isn't a forum for heating and a/c, I didn't know which forum to post in. Maybe we should start a heat & a/c forum.
