I am installing my Radiator and it got mocked up fine its a cold case aluminum and I have the 4 core top and bottom saddles, so I am replacing the seals, I went to fusick, I order the side seals and top and bottom insulators and these guys http://www.fusickautomotiveproducts....?number=RI2021 surely they know something I dont LOL.. well I look up in the chasis manual I see the top and bottom insulators and the side seals, but where do these pieces go? is there any more insulators besides the top and bottom and the two sides?
I also ordered the tar paper like seals, except for the ones by the bumper brackets as they are the wrong shape etc mine that were original to the car look like their later version http://www.fusickautomotiveproducts....p?number=RCD30 is this the same for 69? fusicks 69 version was too squarish?
Yes I have those, but these aren't it they are much bigger, I better take a photo, but from the assembly manual and the chasis manual it seems I have all i need, these are shaped like the radiator side seals, I thought maybe they go on the shroud ( between shroud and radiator ) to prevent scraping etc

The parts Fusick calls "Radiator Insulators" are intended to go in the saddles.
Eddie:
I have a 3-row aluminum radiator from Champion, the tanks are 2-5/8" wide. I was able to stretch the top plate saddles to fit the Champion radiator, but the bottom saddles which are spot welded to the core support were too small. I had a hell of a time getting the bottom saddles to fit my radiator. Ultimately, I bought PN: INL14717 from inline tube which has the metal saddles and the rubber cushions but I had to cut the brackets to shorten them to fit my radiator. I then bought smaller "U" shaped cushions from Fusick that fit the radiator and cut down bottom saddles to fit the smaller cushions. If your radiator is thicker, INL14717 may be the perfect size for your car. Here's a few pics:

I cut them down to fit the cushions I bought at Fusick.

Well then I have no idea what those parts are or where they are supposed to go. I didn't see anything like that on either my 70 Supreme or the 71 convertible, and I had the radiators out many times over the years.
Eddie - The factory, in '69, probably installed closed cell foam rubber "strips" that attach to the radiator support on the "flat" plates that vertically surround each end tank on the radiator. These "strips" are about 1 foot long and one is used on each side. '70-2 cars used these. They are typically attached with some unique metal push-in clips (2 per strip). They are the same "profile" as the rubber seal/strip that runs across the top of the firewall and seals up to the back/underside of the hood...so they are just shorter sections of the same "stripping" material.
The SECOND Fusick link you show is for '71 or 72 Cutlass, etc only....not used in '69 or '70. That's not "tar paper" but a rubber material.....same material as used on the front fenderwell splash "guards" and on the radiator top corner "seals" (each seal attaches to a hole in the radiator top plate and a hole in the vertical radiator support end tank surround "plates".
Finally, the factory glued a foam rubber strip on the underside of the radiator top plate and another one on the bottom rail of the radiator core.....these are long and "tubular" closed cell foam strips but they are flattened out a bit when made.

Thanks Patton, yes I have the saddles and as was mentioned I also have the corresponding u shaped insulators, I have the correct side seals in the closed cell foam you mention as well as the rectangular closed cell material for the top and bottom, in looking at the rubber pieces again, its Like joe says they are somehow meant to go in the saddles? I dont know why fusick gave so many and duifferent sizes ( 3 and 4 core?) or why not just call them saddles as for the rubber seals, my car had the rounded ones on her? and all the pieces are original to the car, I also have the funny clips,
Anyway I will say I have everything I need to mount the radiator correctly plus some LOL... geez louise this car is a bit of a weirdo, I had the rear end support bars too, the ones that bolt by the lower control arm, these were suppose to be only 70 and up?
I truly appreciate everyone's reply !!
oh as a side note, I ordered a goodmark 7 blade 18.5 inch fan, well the box came with CHL on it yes made in china, looks like a nice piece no issues, but this same company produces parts for all the big names it seems, golden star , good mark etc, i will post photos etc of the fan once my stud kit arrives, and then I will mount the radiator, I am thinking I should make some kind of brace from the cowl fender mount on top to the top of the core support until the fenders go on.

The solid rubber radiator saddle "isolators" are formed correctly.....they will bend and "take a shape" once you push the "nibs" through the holes in the metal upper and lower saddles and set the radiator in and install the top plate.
Fusick is correct for offering different lengths....3 and 4 row are different lengths and when you get to 4 row saddles for the top plate there were two different lengths there as well.

Thanks patton for both the answer and the package!!

About these foam/rubber side seals- I see them sold for ~$50 and I'm wondering if I can use regular "D" profile EDPM foam tubing as a replacement? Looks like you need 2 x 28" for the top and bottom, and 2 x 13" for the sides, total 82" (~7'). However I'm curious about the temperature rating. Regular EDPM foam is rated to ~140F, which seems a bit low for an engine compartment, but is very cheap ($1.75-2.31/foot). The high-temp stuff costs ~$4.8-6.72/foot, which isn't that much cheaper (total cost $33.6- $47.6).
Am I overthinking the temperature rating? Who knows what the original spec was...
