Question: Toro 455 to Engine Stand

Hi All,
I've spent quite a bit of time scouring the Forums, but so far come up blank.

I've acquired a 1970 Toro 455 that will eventually be rebuilt and transplanted into my '68 442. Alledgedly a 1970 block. I need to decode the VIN derivative still: 38M(8 or 6)0094(5 or 3) I think - see pic.

In the meantime, I need to get it out from my truck bed and onto my brand-spanking-new 2-ton engine stand. I know I need to use Grade 8 bolts for the purpose. What I do not know is what dimensions for the bolts. I've seen 3/8", 1/2", etc. But what is the actual bolt size, thread-cast, and length I need?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe they are 3/8-16 x what ever length your stand allows.

Thanks!

Thank you, OldCutlass, much obliged . My stand has yokes that are about 1.5" to 2" in depth. If you don't mind one more question: How deep into the block should I plan to go?

Oh, and that's a '68 motor.

Thanks

Thank you gentlemen; I've got it mounted to the stand now. Now it sits off to the side as I continue the work on the undercarriage, headers (on the existing 400), brakes, rear-end, steering components, yada yada yada!
