Push rod length checkers

I see a few different set ups from Summit etc...which is the correct length to start with to check my valve train geometry on an Olds 350? Bored, stroked, full roller set up, aggressive cam from Mark....

I use Smith Bros. in Central Oregon. Great guys and will talk all day with you on the phone. They make a darn fine pushrod too!!! So many variables...

I used this one from Comp Cams. My original length was 8.234" so unless yours is radically different, this should work. I didn't use checker springs but my lifters had all bled down; engine hadn't run for a few weeks. But the procedure calls for checker springs or you may bend the checker.
