Pressure Gas Tank
Pressure Gas Tank
This has been a issue from day one my tank has to vents I made 2 coil like things and attach to rear of tank as high as I could I fixed a leak coming from the rubber tube that goes to the coil the other day everything was fine until yesterday It was hot out 90s I got home and it took 2 Hands to take the caps off then a big gush and I notice a double drops of gas buy the rear end area Am I missing something I have a none vented cap I thought it was vented it should be 1/4 tube coiled up as high as it can go could it be the fuel pump probably
Not I Park in my. Garage there's a gas hot water heater in the garage

There should be 2 rubber lines that run from the fuel tank to above the license plate bracket behind the rear bumper. Attached to the rubber lines is a plastic vent stuffed with cotton that vents to atmosphere. Your cap should be a non-vented cap.
It's about 2/3 way down pn INL11407 - I know it says for a 70 but it's the same part.

Tank
Yes thanks went that route did not work
The gas came out of the fixture now it's set up w/2tubes going around the tank and up behind the rear end with 2 steel 1/4" tubing rolled in a coil and mounted up top I've been thinking maybe one of the coils might be clogged that would build up pressure right Steve

On mine, I liked the 2 tubes together and do not use the plastic vent assy. I used worm gear clamps on all the lines. I get a little bit of pressure on a very hot day, but not enough to worry. You may want to replace your cap. Fuel pump should not have anything to do with pressurizing your tank.
I don't have a car from this year range, but, based on simple physics, if you have a clear vent pathway to the outside world, it should not be possible for you to develop pressure in your gas tank.
The factory baffles worked fine for forty years, and there is no reason why they (or similar "home brewed" devices) should suddenly stop working today.
I'd check to be absolutely certain that your hoses and ports are not in any way obstructed. This may involve dropping the tank, but you may be able to get away with blowing through the hoses with compressed air.
