P/n for lock set

Hello all,

Looking for the p/n for an uncoded ignition lock set for a 71 442. I need two of these and can't seem to find the p/n in the parts manual. Can anyone please help with this? Pretty sure it's in group 2.188.

Group 2.188 in the parts book. P/N 3990946. Which printing of the parts book are you looking in? This is the Jan 1972 edition.

Thanks for answering so quickly Joe. I did see that in the 72 printing, but was not sure if it was coded or uncoded. I had been looking at an NOS set that was uncoded, but unable to verify the p/n and it was not the number you suggested. Also, on the box of the set I was looking at read "uncoded" in the description. How do I know?

I'm pretty sure these are all uncoded. In any case, be sure the lock cylinder accepts the correct "A" key blank. That's the difference among these lock cylinders.

Yes, I can confirm that 3990946 is uncoded. There are a couple on ebay right now. Be sure it's an original and not a generic aftermarket repro. The latter typically don't have the internal grooves for the year-specific key blanks, allowing the repro companies to stock one P/N and not half a dozen.
