one more question about my 64 f-85 manuel transmission

one more question on64 f-85 cutlass we recieved 2trans with car one a sagnaw 2 ring and a63 t-10 is this t-10 a good 4 speed and will the aplication fit in the 64 or will i have to keep the extendahole some one made? ( i assume for saganaw ) ha! ha! thank

What engine are you going to use?
Either trans is good. The T-10, I would say is the better of the two.
I'm not sure what you mean about extend the hole. Or are you saying they butchered a hole in the floor?
Post some pic's of what you have.

well i am useing the original 330 4 barrel the muncie is long gone left me a saganaw and a t-10 out of a 63 just wanting to know how good of trans is this and will it fit in the 64 the hole is factory they just cut it out more to fit another trans

Either one will bolt up if they are GM. Check the bolt pattern. If one or the other, the T-10 would be my choice. The other one would work also. If you felt like it, you could try one then the other and decide which has the better ratio to your liking. I would just clean up the mess they made on the shifter hole and use a piece of sheet metal and cover the hole and make a new hole fit what you have.
