Oil in breather
Hi again,
I am getting smoke out of one side of breather from the passenger side rocker cover vent when I turn off the engine. I have never seen this in another car before and being new to a 455 I am suspicious, it is leaving a small amount of oil in the breather.
Why would this be happening? I have had a mechanic tell me it is normal. It'll stuff up the air filter quickly I would imagine.
It even wisps out of the passenger side ram air vent on the hood.
Thanks,
Richard

Problem nearly solved
It is blow-by. Now that I have sorted out the vacuum hoses the smoke is not coming out the hood vents, was kinda cool having a smokin' gun! but not really a good look. We get a bit of smoke on accelerating after idling for a while. Time to do a rebuild. Just have to start saving ;-)
