Odds and Ends

where does the black short wire on distributer go? Where does the Tranny modulator vacuum line plug into? I'm tryn to reassemble some one elses project..i got car partially disassembled

I'm assuming the black short wire is the ground strap from the distributor body to the advance plate. Transmission modulator gets full manifold vacuum.

Unless it's the points wire, in which case it goes to the (-) terminal of the coil.

And, as OldCutlass said, the modulator goes to whichever barb on the intake you want it to. If you're very obsessive, you could look in the Assembly Manual and see where the factory put it.

what about the condenser wire on the coil..I'm figuring the poitive terminal on coil. Where does that one go. Sorry to seem so unknowledgeable...

Do you mean the radio interference condenser screwed to the coil bracket?

Its wire goes to the (+) terminal of the coil.

yes..I called a buddy and he said it goes to the positive side of coil
