If there is no trunk sticker that has the different codes (like the paint code) is there another way i can get that kind of information?
the car is a 1980 Regency 98

 

Did you check above the fuel tank or below the rear seat for a build sheet?

 

The 1980 Regency will still have the paint code on the cowl tag.

 

^^^THIS. GM didn't use the SPID sticker until the mid-80s.

Wow i always associated cowl tags with 70's and earlier cars.

 

1. IF you get a 1980 Olds Chassis Service manual it will explain the cowl tag.

2. Paint codes are sometimes specific for that year. same code a different year could be a completely different color..
