Need advice on body removal

Ok so this next weekend its a mad thrash to get the frame welded up and body welded up where the bushing mounts go and I need a little advice on how to remove it. I have decided that doing it in my garage will be best vs. my dads work place. I have tools , air , welder and lots of light. Im using 2 cherry pickers or 1 cherry picker and a manual crane . That depends on if someone has a cherry picker I can borrow. Now for the front im thinking of lifting it from the openings of the body mount bushings on the lower portion of the firewall. For the rear im thinking of using a 2x6 in the trunk area across the braces one on top and one on the bottom with lag bolts long enough to put the chains through. What do you guys think ? Any advice or previous experiences is greatly appreciated.

Body Removal

Hey:
I used a cherry picker attached w/ a chain mounted in the front torque boxes to lift the front. I had to cut into the far rear mounts in the trunk area because the cage nuts were spinning, I also used the cherry picker w/ the chain hooked into the cutout areas. I used a bottle jack mounted on cement blocks to get the body high enough to clear the chassis. I alternated between back and front to get the body high enough. It is approx 36" off the ground, supported in 3 spots w/ cement blocks and a 4x6 across the rocker areas. It took awhile, but I finally got it done, it helps to have buddies willing to help.
Thanks Ron

yeah its going to be me , my dad ,and a really good friend of mine helping me out. if you don't mind me asking where did you lift from the rear. Just from the sheet metal. I was going to lift it up from the trunk latch just enough to slide a 2x6 then I was going to use lag bolts bolted through the chain. My game plan is to taker the wheels off and set the drums on rollers like cheap go jacks. and rolling it out.

I just pulled the body off the frame of a 1972 Cutlass last week.

It took less than six hours, a few blocks, some cut up wood, two ten foot 4X4s, and a ton of patience.

And I didn't break the car or myself while doing it.
