Manual transmission clutch fork spring installation

I’m wrapping up the conversion to a manual transmission and am trying to sort the correct installation of this bracket for the anti rattle spring. It mounts to the clutch fork according to the assembly manual, but my picture is not clear on how it is actually installed. Can anyone show me a good picture of their installation?

I think it can only go on one way:

Thank you, your picture is much clearer than mine. I’m just not sure what is capturing it on the end of the fork…

There are notch-like tabs on the fork that it grabs. When you get under there it will be pretty obvious how it goes. I'd take a pic of mine but I totally half-assed it. Let's just say it works. I have something wrong in my linkage. Either the Z-bar is wrong or the clutch pedal rod is too short so I have a custom long clutch rod made from a bolt....lol

Funk, here are two shots of the end my clutch fork, one shot from either side. Hope this helps with the orientation of your spring clip.

Yes, It certainly explains why I was so confused. My clutch fork doesn’t have the retaining horns pressed into the end of the fork. (Not correct for the application). Seeing as how I’m using a steel scattershield with a TKX, I don’t think that anyone would notice something that insignificant.😂. I am just going to find a point that I can attach the spring directly. Thank you so much for your fantastic photos!!

Just drill a small hole in the fork for the spring.
I didn't even know that clip existed.

fleming442 is right, I just insert the spring end into the hole on my OEM fork.

Heath, I've never seen a fork without the ears, must be from China. All my 4 '65's had the ears.

I pulled the gearbox back out yesterday to install the correct fork. Here is a photo of what I was working with for understanding.

Why do you need the "correct" fork with aftermarket bellhousing and trans? This thread makes no sense.

I’m trying to avoid clearance issues with the spring. I had also pulled the trans for another reason. You’re probably right though, I don’t make sense at least half of the time.🤪. Enjoy your day.

That’s better!!! 😂😃

👍No weird binding, no squeaking, no excessive force to engage the clutch.
