Long Island Area Transmission recommendations??

I have a 28 442 clone with a 455 and 700R4 tanny that out of the blue stopped working....Was shifting from 1st to 2nd with some wheelspin and all of the sudden nothing....Reving in Drive or reverse, but shift linkage and torque converter/flywheel all good.
I am thinking perhaps the pump went?......Only about 3,000 miles on the tranny.

Any one have any decent shops in the area that they can suggest?

Can be brooklyn or queens as well as nassau or suffolk. Hagerty is paying for the tow, so I think I can do within 75 miles or something from my home.
