"keep your gm car all gm"

I'm currently restoring the air cleaner on my '69 4-4-2 and it's coming out pretty good from what it used to be. One minor issue though, is the sticker on the side that says "KEEP YOU GM CAR ALL GM". Somehow, over the years, I've managed to get two of those stickers. One has a "PP" code on it with a part number 642482? underneath the "PP". The other has an "NJ" code on it with a part number of 6487338 underneath the "NJ". The "PP" sticker is slightly larger than the "NJ" sticker. Both are rectangular in shape with curved corners (like the one that was on the air cleaner before I blasted it off but I should have measured it first before the blaster took it away!). Which one is correct, or is either correct, for a '69 4-4-2?

I'm not near my garage or assembly manual, but off-hand I would say neither is correct. I think my 69 442 is either OG or OC...from memory. I can answer this tomorrow.

Still not home, but what I'm seeing is OS for 69 442, OG for 68 442, OV for 69 442 W cars. The 2 codes you have are 455 codes. Seems like they have just condensed them into 1 code now.

My '68 is "OG" and it looks like it was painted or silk-screened onto the air cleaner base. The one on my '69 was a "peel-n-stick" sticker but it was so far gone it couldn't be read.

Unfortunately thats wrong. And A LOT of well known parts houses sell the NJ coded sticker (I believe NJ is a 71 code). Nothing worse than spending $100K-$150K on a high quality restoration and claiming it's "all correct" or from a "well known" olds restorer and you place a $5 decal with the incorrect code on the air cleaner - which is very visible to everyone. Brings into question what else may be wrong.

68 is silk screened on

69 started a decal. I think PP is a 70 Pontiac code, but I don't have my book in front of me.

from the 69 PIM, section 6-1 page 151. OS is the 400ci code, also the 455 with L32. The OV code as stated is for W-30/W-31/W-31
