It's been a tough month for friends and relatives

Just the other day I received a phone call from my best friends wife. She was very upset and crying, Dave has just passed away from a massive heart attack and she wanted me to know before I herd it from someone else. That was number 4 for this month. Big loss for me and anyone that knew him. he was as much of a brother as I will ever have.

Lost my aunt Betty a few weeks ago and my mother in law almost on the same day. both were in bad health and in there mid 90's, kinda was expected but they have been hanging on so long I kinds forgot they were mortal like the rest of us.

Then my daughters mother in law finally passed fighting liver cancer. Nasty disease and she has to be in a better place than where she was before. All this is a downer and I'm sorry didn't mean to bring anyone else down but it has made me a lot more aware of my mortality and what is important in life. Think I try and get my ducks in a better row than what I have...... Life can be and is very short....Tedd

Didn't mean to post in this forum, thought I had put this in the clubhouse. please move it if necessary.... Tedd

Sorry to hear of so much heartache in one month Tedd. Yes, once in a while life throws stuff at us that reminds us how quickly the years can go by. My friend that I bought the 1966 442 project from recently told me whatever you want to do John, do it now! The only reason he sold the car to me is that his health had started failing, and he didn't think he was able to finish the project. We've no guarantee what tomorrow will bring.

Your right Ted, Im sorry for your heartache all at once it seems. Life is fleeting and it could be over for everyone of us at any time. It is truly a gift and sometimes it takes illness or accident to make people realize this. It is hard for everyone. I accept we all start dying as soon as we are born. Everyone's time is different but we have to be thankful for the time spent with them or the time in general. We must all accept this natural progression and find peace with it in order to better our lives and the lives after us. Make the best of the time you are here for yourself and everyone around you and you will be rewarded. So many things get in the way of what really is important these days and we need to see around this stuff. We will never forget the memories or the people in our lives hopefully but ironically it is time that heals us.
