IDing the flywheel 1964

Ive got a couple different flywheels that came with some parts. One looks to be what I have on my spare 394 in terms of its about 1/2" thick with the teeth and I assume the damper plate attaches to it. Those were already separated. The other flywheel is tons heavier, looks like it has a ring embedded into it and is a good 1" thick with teeth. Is the one for automatic and the bigger one manual? I dont see any casting numbers in either. Thanks

If you want a pic of a ‘62 394 automatic flywheel, let me know if that will help you out

Sure, can’t hurt. Like I said, the skinny wheel looks to be what is on the 394 engine already. So I’m guessing the other is for ST.

Both have 166 teeth. This is the skinny one I think for automatic.

This must be the 61-2, but not manual?

Pat ,
The first pic is an automatic flywheel , But It's not for a 394
It maybe looks like a 2nd generation flywheel . I'm not sure which one , '68 and up had a different center hole diameter .

Second and third pics show a 394 automatic ( slim Jim ) flywheel ( note the very large center hole dimeter ) .
I'm not sure what year , '61 was different than '62 , which is also different than '63 & '64.( according to the parts book and the Hollander )
I can post a pic of a '63 automatic flywheel for you tomorrow .

Ok, it sure would be easier if they cast a part number in the damn parts.
