It looks similar to the cowl tags on the later models. From the name of the body manufacturer (Mitchell Bentley), and from your icon, it would appear your '57 is a station wagon as MB was in the station wagon body building business for GM for many years.

Here's a website that might be of interest. Found it in a quick google search.

I'm sure the various numbers refer to body and trim colors, options that would have been installed by the body manufacturer, etc. You need to find someone who can decode them. Then you would know what the original colors were, etc., if you don't already.

I have a '57 Oldsmobile Fisher Maintenance Manual. It does not say much about the tags , but here's what it does.

1957 Mod DHW - Super 88 Fiesta (Olds ID Model number)
BODY No 559 - Iona Manufacturing line number (Fisher's is 3665SDF)

That is it. It does not break down the trim or acc codes. It does note -

"Station Wagon bodies are made by the Ionia Manufacturing Division of the Mitchell-Bentley Corp. The plates are similar to the Fisher Body Plates."
