ST69= Model year 1969. 33667 (3)= Oldsmobile Division. (36)= Cutlass V8. (67)= convertible. LAN=assembly plant, Lansing, Mi. 225692= unit number. Tr=trim/interior color, black with bucket seats. BDY PNT= body paint, (67)= lower body paint, Burgundy Mist. (B)= upper body color (or top color if convertible or vinyl) black convertible top. 12B= build date (12) twelfth month. (B) second week of month.

FYI, for the 1968 and 69 model years, Olds used 336... cowl tags on both Cutlass S cars (336... VIN) and on 442s (344... VIN), so this cowl tag could have been on either model. The VIN will tell you which it is. This seeming discrepancy is well documented in factory literature.

All plants did it to some extent. Lansing seemed to be the last to change to 344 cowl tags. There are lots of 1969 Fremont 442s with 344 tags, but few Lansing cars, as an example. My 68 W-30, 69 H/O, and 69 442 are all Lansing cars and all have 336 cowl tags.
