heater core help??

Unhappy heater core help??

my heater just took a crap my ? is how do I get her out 66 olds starfire with ac looks like from comes out from inside???the chilton man just dont make sense. help me OBI 1 your my only hope

The chilton manual are always incomplete. There just for basic repairs. You need to buy a shop manual. That's the only to go.

The FSM manuals are handy to have. I buy Chilton's manuals for my daily drivers but a FSM and Chassis Manual are essential for your Olds.

To remove the heater core you might have to rake out the passenger's side fender well and remove the air plenum from both the front and back of the firewall. I'm not 100% sure though, sorry.

ok well you just got to think outside zee box comes out from inside hardest part was the 3 screws below the cowl from inside took all day but i was screwing off ..new core is in and all i need is defrost duct tubes. you looked at the old ones and they just fell apart .so sun Ill hook up the hoses and yaa ill have heat

Be sure to watch the cables as you drop the box down.

You can get new ducts at NAPA. They aren't cheap but it sure beats using the aluminum heater ducts you can get at the hardware store.
