Hi,

Just purchased a 1962 Starfire. Low beam headlight is out. I bought both the 61 and 62 service repair manuals and the 61 starfire supplement. The only reference to headlight removal is in the 61 manual. The diagram shows a screw in the top middle of the ring. My car does not have any screws around the ring. Does anyone know how I can remove the headlight?

I have a 1963 Dynamic 88, and it shouldn't be much different than yours. You can't see any screws head on, but if you run your finger around the rim, you should find a recess where the screw is located. Inner and outer head lamp screw are in a different location. Approximatley 6 oclock and 4 oclock. Hope this helps you, and let us know how you make out. Regards, Frank.
