Hardware Packages for Restoration

Hello all,

Where would be the best place to buy hardware stacks for restoring my 71 442? I am currently looking for all hardware related to the frame (i.e. front and rear control arm, sway bar, shocks, etc... mounting), but will eventually need hardware for most everything else. Does any vendor sell complete OEM style hardware packages?

Whenever I need hardware I just run to the hardware store. Since your 442 is exactly the same as a Chevelle you might be able to get a kit of bolts, nuts, etc. from Year One.

https://www.yearone.com/

Fusick or Kanter carry Olds specific hardware like control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, shocks, etc.

Also, don't forget RockAuto or your local auto parts store for parts. It's often better to purchase suspension parts individually over buying a kit because the kits are often 100% Chinesium.

AMK products may have what you need also.

That's kind of an odd site. They show parts for the popular muscle cars (but not Oldsmobile), and they have vintage Marantz stereo receivers. What's that all about? Buy a receiver that's from the same era as your car so you have music to restore by?

Those are Marantz resto hardware references. In most cases an A body is an A body and a lot of the fasteners are the same between makes. A frame kit from Chevy, Buick or Pontiac is probably the same as an Olds.
