Never had a problem with the stock style metal gasket in nearly four decades of Oldsmobile ownership.

Here's the difference, on the 4 peice you do not have the exhaust crossover port, which by the way most hi perf manifolds have that blocked off, on the valley pan you do. I you are using your stock manifold I would go with the valley pan. If you would like to use the 4 peice, simply make the opening or block the port.

The valley pan is easier to install.

Thanks, I do have the exhaust ports open on my intake so i think i will go with the valley pan. Gasket sealer on the water and exhaust ports only right?

Good looking out classic olds crew, the info really helped, I went with the valley pan gasket and had no problem at all.
