On the 71 I am I assembling, it has the OE 4 blade fan and spacer instead of a fan clutch. The spacer seems to be stuck onto the fan almost like the end of the spacer is slightly opened over, or maybe there's a little corrosion holding them together. Should they come apart?

 

Yes they should come apart. Your probably right that there's a little corrosion holding them together.
