Everytime I have a question I come to this forum haha!

I have a '85 Delta 88. Its my project/ soon to be daily driver. I got to take it around the block today... I'm in love!
Anyways, I was wonder why my speedometer shakes as I increase and decrease speed. It's like it's hacing a hard time climbing. Why does it do that and how can i fix it? THANKS!

If you are referring to the needle "bouncing" I would start by looking at the speedometer cable. The lubricant in the sleeve can dry out and cause the "spring" type cable to bind, and gives you an erratic behavior. I would try removing the cable, cleaning the housing out real good, lubricate, and give it a shot.

X2, usually the cable is dirty or worn.

It shouldn't cost much for a complete new cable, if the cable is dry or rusted and lubricating it doesn't fix it I think that is the next step.

16 posts?, one every two days if you joined at the beginning of May. Perhaps you might come to the forum and help one of us sometime?.

Roger.
