Hi All, I wanted to order a cam for my 56, but noticed my engine had a 55 distriutor, so maybe its a 55 engine? anyway i found a engine serial # its
V1081958 can anyone tell me is it a 55, 56 early late or 324, 371 or what?

V and 7 digits would make it a '56, which would be a 324. '57 would have started with an A.

'49-'55 distributor in a '56 is not something I would have done, but they must have had a reason.
