Engine i.d. # 3955582

Can any tell me what type of olds engine this is casting # from front of engine read 395558 2 i just bought this 1966 f85 and want to learn all the spec on it any help ?

That would be a 350 rocket from 1968-74

I believe a 68-70 350 has code 2

Yep that's correct it is a 68-74

It's actually 68-76. The casting number changed in 1977 when the went to the windowed mains and ½" head bolts.

That's the casting number on my '76 Supreme 350 as well

Every single Olds 350 block from 1968-1976 used that casting number. This is yet another well documented error in the Olds FAQ.

All Olds 350 blocks are 39 deg
