With a little massaging you can use a fuel pump block off as an EGR block off. That's what I did. Or you can cut one from 1/4" aluminum or 3/16" steel.

I have a few home made ones here, but if you want a fancy one, Jim makes them. 309-361-0907
A fuel pump block off will work as well.

I've just swapped to a pcv valve on mine. It seems to work nicely.

I'm confused, can you elaborate?

Hmm, I may have been thinking of something else. I was thinking of the port coming from the Pass side valve cover, which I put a pcv valve in. I don't think my 71 has an egr.

One thing I have heard of for blocking off the manifold piece was to installed the hot air choke thing and leave the tubes running to the carb off.
